The founders of Anheuser-Busch traveled by wooden ship to Germany (Bavaria / Czechia) in the 1830s to bring back the traditional taste that everyone praised as the finest tasting lager they ever had. They brewed the first bottle of Budweiser in the 1850s in St.Louis, Mo. before the Civil War. They were one of the first corporations founded in America. They were one of the first companies to understand how influential advertising could be for their product. They sponsored Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. They sponsored real heroes like Audie Murphy and Chesty Puller.
