What manner of fruit is that? It is unfamiliar to me.

I have no idea, and it is really bothering me.

My current best guess is that it is some sort of Hawthorn, but that doesn't exactly match up, either.
I am also really curious as to what the fungus/rot is; if I wasn't so seriously banned from Reddit I would post this there.
