The sun is 400x the distance from the earth as the moon is from the earth, combined with the moon being 400x smaller than the sun - this makes the appearance that the sun and moon are the same size and also that the moon can eclipse the sun perfectly. They called it a "fluke of geological happenstance that is not like this anywhere else in the solar system" but yeah, totally natural.
