I would have gotten a selection of fresh fruits, bread and asiago cheese with a nice red wine like sangiovese. Maybe some prosciotto if it was looking good from the local grocers.

I agree that's great, also needs some brussel sprouts and steamed broccoli and green beans. But his apartment looks unfurnished and you can't do that meal seven days a week. My suggestion required nothing to be cooked.

This apartment was the cheapest I could find in the area (that wasn't infested with gooks/bedbugs), and although it was still too fucking expensive for my taste, it does have more room than I need. Bedroom plus a kitchen, plus my "office".
Regardless, I took off the day from work today, and am going through the arduous bureaucratic torture of re-personing myself. This is a trying process.

Friend sardines in tomato sauce, but the really one of the really nice European brands. I am not exaggerating when I say they are by far and away the best sardines I have ever had.
