You can do maintenance at the recommended intervals, and things will still wear out and fail. All proper maintenance does is prolong the life of a specific part.

Yeah, the most expensive and important parts. I still don't get what you're aiming at? I shouldn't do maintenance cause it's still gonna break some day?
