Reminds me of photos of the beach taken during the 1950s.

There were lots of snowbunnies around too, they just had a bit more clothing on.

edit: Just my personal perspective but being from California I saw these mountains covered in tons of snow as a deathtrap but apparently Europeans look at them and just laugh, put sticks on their feet and barrel down them. They were really having a great time doing it too.
