Alta Lake. I camped up there a couple years ago and had to leave because I was being attacked by a marmot that would not leave me alone to save my life. I literally tried to beat it to death with a shovel. I wish I had a gun I would have shot the thing. I managed to kill a squirrel and a camp robber in the process of trying to kill that damn marmot..
Camping without a gun? At least a 22 pistol just for such instances.
I went to go buy a pellet gun but I couldn't find them at Walmart anymore because they freaked out and got rid of them all. I traveled to Canada sometimes and you can't bring a gun over the border easily so that's why I don't travel with my pistol. Although sometimes I do wish I had it, case in point.
Canada is so fucked up. I trim my nails before I go there in case they think they are weapons.
