In fact good artist are not so expensive these days. For sure that they can hire good artist. But consider that they give a jobs to diversity artists more and more. Also artists are 'instructed' to not make appealing female characters. Do you think that females in modern games often are ugly bitches because artists can't make better job? Nope, they order artist to make it ugly. This are not just conspiracy rumors, game developers openly brag with this shit.....
