I bought a hundred fake spiders from one a month or so after Halloween when they are on discount. Set them up in the garage so when my son was headed out to school it would look like they were all around the door ready to crawl in. Failed miserably, he looked back at me, asked if I was "having fun playing with my toys" and shuffled past them all. What a great memory, still worth the $20 or whatever I spent on them.
