Before jumping to conclusions about intent and ramifications you need to ask some relevant questions to establish the context. 1. How many processing plants are there? 2. How common are fires at these plants? 3. How long will it take to bring these plants back up? 4. Are the other processing plants running at full capacity, or can they take up the lost volume? 5. Are any producers claiming they will have lower output due to these fires? People realize that propaganda exists yet they never seem to be able to recognize when they are consuming it. These food shortage stories are EXACTLY how real manipulation is done. Advertising does not work by convincing you of anything in one commercial, it takes on average 7 "impressions" to make a sale. This is a very thoroughly studied field. You are being brainwashed to fear food scarcity by being bombarded from every side with stories that push that narrative. From "muh fertilizer shortage," to "muh gov. paying to destroy crops" to "muh gates bought up farmland". Copy and paste this to every food shortage story that gets posted. Let's think critically about the things designed to manipulate us by our emotions and fears.
