Before jumping to conclusions about intent and ramifications you need to ask some relevant questions to establish the context.

  1. How many processing plants are there?

  2. How common are fires at these plants?

  3. How long will it take to bring these plants back up?

  4. Are the other processing plants running at full capacity, or can they take up the lost volume?

  5. Are any producers claiming they will have lower output due to these fires?

People realize that propaganda exists yet they never seem to be able to recognize when they are consuming it. These food shortage stories are EXACTLY how real manipulation is done.

Advertising does not work by convincing you of anything in one commercial, it takes on average 7 "impressions" to make a sale. This is a very thoroughly studied field. You are being brainwashed to fear food scarcity by being bombarded from every side with stories that push that narrative. From "muh fertilizer shortage," to "muh gov. paying to destroy crops" to "muh gates bought up farmland".

Copy and paste this to every food shortage story that gets posted. Let's think critically about the things designed to manipulate us by our emotions and fears.

Also there's some story about a company.. we can cause a panic buy of anything you want.. the test Toilet Paper.

So "preppers" are the ones causing the shortage, buying up all the stuff. Supply is not the issue.

A real prepper should have a homestead and not give a shit about food supply because everything is at home. I still can't buy a home with a decent amount of land.

Hasta plants are edible. Everything above ground.

Palatable if you want to be a dense arse. Anything you can put into your mouth and swallow is edible.

Dandelions is a start. You pick the leaves before it starts sprouting into a flower.

I've eaten dandelion leaves before. Doesn't taste great but it is edible. It tastes like spinach.

spinach with bitter ass in it. i have tried and tried to like dandelion, but the best i can do are some baby leaves added to a mixed green salad. though i did find a recipe for dandelion jam that looked interesting.

There are lots of things to eat in your front yard.

My front yard is full of old appliances, toilets, cars, pallets, skateboards, steel drums, boats, and bicycles. I'm gonna fix them someday!

Arent there 2,000+ food processing facilities in the US?

[–] 3 pts

And how often is there damage to them? What does "destroyed" mean, just some damage, or completely shut down for months?

[–] 1 pt

There's a lot. Not like a few make a huge dent. Unless it's of a type that there are only a few. I heard something about changing laws on crossing state lines with beef.

Congress would have to do that. Inept and corrupt so probably no time.

I would like to see this map overlayed over a map of all food processing plants. There are food processing plants all over the place.

I went out yesterday and picked up four petite sirloin steaks. Each one half inch cut and about as long as my hand and almost just as wide. Picked up from a local mom and pop store for like 7 bucks. To be honest I don't think I'm going to buy meat from a big grocery store anymore. They just don't have the deals and it looks like their supply chain is about to blow up in smoke. These local guys get things locally butchered so it's more affordable and readily available.

Fake and gay. Somehow I haven't heard of the 2 destroyed food processors that happened in my state? Can't find a single article talking about any recent food plants destroyed here.
