My work made me buy a separate laptop for web browsing, and they gave me a 1200 dollar budget. I got some ASUS thing on Amazon that I hate. So I feel you.

I used to use ThinkPads as my work laptop. But they've been crap for a while now. I had one that I had for 6 years that was one of the last ones that resembled the old ones. It was still full of crapware software, but it lasted a fucking long time.

So given that Lenovo is especially cheap Chinese crap now, I got a Dell which is pretty meh but it does the job. I do miss having a laptop that looks professional and is full of high end hardware.
