Ive worked with the homeless before. Its a lifestyle choice for them.

I've BEEN homeless. 30% are schizophrenic and hopeless.

The crazy ones are the only ones who truly need help.

I knew homeless for years. Same people same places, every day for years.

I asked a bum. Doesnt it suck to be homeless?

He says

im not homeless im home free. Dont have to wake to alarm, no job to go to.

Then it hit me. I almost felt like a sucker fo playing into the system.

The vast majority of homeless are homeless by choice.

You think someone that lives on the street is sane? 30% are schizo, the rest are fucked-up in other ways. It sure as hell ain't normal. Many are agoraphobic, they can't stand being indoors. Many were in prison, can't take any kind of confinement or rules. Many men were divorce-raped. Some watched their spouse or child die, and lost it. You never know someone's background. It's easy to lump them all together as lazy drunken bums. I used to do the same. I lost my ex-wife to schizophrenia, she became homeless, it was heartbreaking, and not her fault. I have no idea where she is now.
