It would really take three hands to hold that thing, and the tape, and the camera.

I suspect that you're over-complicating it; roll out the tape on a table and lock it, thus freeing up one hand or lay the prickly thing down..

No need for extra hands or buttcheeks holding stuff..

Nah, I am in charge of my keychain tape and how to handle thorn branches, but thanks so much for sharing your vast insight on the matter.
