Cameron, Nigeria and Senegal have all made it to World Cup quarter finals. South Africa are rugby world champions and Namibia are a decent rugby team for a tier 2 nation. Ethiopia and Kenya produce by far the best long distance runners, while west Africa produces the best sprinters (Jamaicans being originally from west Africa). Loads of quality footballers have learned their trade in Africa too, with the likes of Didier Drogba, the Toure brothers, Sadio Mane, Samuel Eto’o and current Liberian President and former world player of the year George Weah all having plied their trade in Africa before moving to European leagues.
