The wood is beautiful. The workmanship is impressive. The application is wasteful and pretentious.
Yeah, it kind of looks like a very shiny and well polished lumber pile.

I don't get it, but it is purdy, I tell you whut
Do you also sell propane and propane accessories when you're not busy stopping Bobby from playing your acoustic guitar with cheese?
The boy ain't right, ah tell yew whut.
Dangit Bobby.. you just ruined Willie Nelson dream number 3
Nice work. Can’t say I like the look of it, but can’t fault you for the customer’s taste.
Did you have cutters made to put that curve on them? What is the white insert in the dado on the leading edge?
Yeah, I ran it on the moulder so the top and bottom knives did the curve profile. Knives we're ground to the profile template they have us. 6 sets altogether bc they wanted 4 different thicknesses and 2 different widths.
I think it's polished stainless steel inserts, the wall is set towards their east window so I imagine the inserts create some really cool light play during sunrise.
Awesome stuff man, but gingers are beautiful people
My mom's very ginger alcoholic brother beat the shit out of me when I was around 4-5. Skull fracture, several broken ribs, dislocated shoulder. Daddy made him suffer for that, but my hair still "stand up" when I'm around gingers.
Hi it's beautiful. I'm new to woodworking. What is "the moulder" with top and bottom knives? I looked it up but all that comes up is like a planer.
It is essentially a 4 sided planer. You can set each head up with a formed knife to cut whatever profile you want. Almost every casing, base, crown moulds you've seen are milled on a moulding machine. Here's an example of one making a dowel https://youtu.be/7cu2bUD33wc
It's like a table router on steroids. Very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.
That is absolutely beautiful work. The woodwork reminds of a pair of these 100k speakers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EvZMKUzyUE&t=9m22s
Really nice to see that level of craftsmanship and design.
Another perspective please
Looks like degenerate Jewish "art".
I agree, I'm happy the beauty of the wood is being showcased but the setting for it just feels so out of place and inorganic.
Very cool!
Cool post. Thanks!
I thought those were stairs.
