Nice, just did some hiking near Eureka Springs. Nice area. I need to get to Ozark sometime.
I went walking in the woods a couple months ago. I got those most eerie feeling. Like I was being watched. I was pretty deep in maybe 45 minutes following a creek so I wouldn’t get lost. It made my hair stand up. I never had that feeling before but Iv heard about it from other people. Suddenly I didn’t feel safe anymore. I had a decent size knife on me but I turned around and went back to my aunts house as fast as I could. I never actually saw anything. I do know though trusting your gut is never a bad idea
I had a weird experience hiking once. Grayson Highlands in VA. Amazing place with tons of wild ponies. Past that no one else really was going. I made it to the forest near the summit and there were downed trees everywhere. The air almost seemed green and murky and things just felt weird. I have no idea what that was but it was bright and sunny before I entered that forest. Just eerie.
Definitely follow your instincts.
Walking in wooded area near my grandparent's place where I normally felt completely safe I happened. Upon two trees known to me as location markers due to being near a strange Microwave transmission that would cause my cell phone to over heat and the battery to go dead. The phone would state the system was unusable even though it displayed five bars. An internet friend located the probable source from a government tower sixty miles away at a spot near Yuba city Ca. Behind a Cain link security fence. On this day , with some surprise, I noticed both my reference Trees had been savagely torn up from the lowest limbs to the very top at about 25 feet up. No bear claw marks on the lower trunks as I would expect to see. Not understanding the cause I quickly left.
That’s a strange story
It happens to me too. Im in the 417 area code, not specific. Ive personally seen mountain lion here, but that wont explain everything ive seen and heard. Definitely a creepy area
It was weird cause I was feeling so peaceful. Wandering in the woods. No cell Service. Feeling how nature makes you feel like you got no more bullshit for the time being. Then it just hits me.
I live at the foot of the ozarks, its my playground.
