I'm just lamenting that we've thrown the baby out with the bathwater for so many things. Investigation of nicotine's appetite suppression could yield a better drug that does that, but we had to lie to ourselves and say "tobacco doesn't help people lose weight" For that matter the whole idea that a person should have to suffer to lose weight is complete bullshit. We need to find more ways to lose weight without feeling hungry. Natural is not inherently good.
I've never encountered that argument before tbh.
Although you do have a point in that the normal go-to appetite suppressant (amphetamines) are also pretty bad.
