That flapper looks like a man.
Came here to say, "That's a tranny."
Man behind the counter clearly sees what we see
Look at the way the other guy is looking at him. Like "That's a dude"
Definitely.
I was gonna say the same

I cant imagine how great that must have smelled. Cigarettes are a poor trash thing now, but fresh tobacco smells really good
Tobacco, REAL wood cabinets and counters, maybe some fresh brewed coffee in that metal dispenser..
That sounds like a weird combination up until you remember they were both considered medicinal at the time. Tobacco was advertised to clear out your lungs and help with weight loss. Soda formulae were literally drugs, the original cocacola had cocaine in it and was marketed as a hangover cure and a cure for morphine addiction.
tobacco does help with weight loss.
True, but I'm not sure I'd take up smoking just to cut a few pounds.
I'm just lamenting that we've thrown the baby out with the bathwater for so many things. Investigation of nicotine's appetite suppression could yield a better drug that does that, but we had to lie to ourselves and say "tobacco doesn't help people lose weight" For that matter the whole idea that a person should have to suffer to lose weight is complete bullshit. We need to find more ways to lose weight without feeling hungry. Natural is not inherently good.
If someone turned this into a virtual reality video game world where you could simply live life in 1926, I would seriously be too afraid to try it because I would never want to leave.
/u/Anzac5665 should post this in Tobacco too, very cool picture!
modern day: "aye crakka, lemme gets sum dem blunts, nah meant bix nood mufuggA"
Back when butlering and store clerk were career options.
I wonder if people will look at present day pictures like we're looking at this one in 100 years....
Every time I see pics like this it's just reinforcement that our civilization has been in reverse.
6 guys working for one customer. And they are all impeccably dressed.
The guy in the middle looks (((wrong))).
Offterdinger ... And a business that encouraged addicts. I have my suspicions too.
