That's incorrect.

Unless you uncheck the pic8 option in the submit page. when you submit an image to poal, it is not sent to poal at all, but to pic8 (through a private API), pic8 removes exif data (to preserve user's privacy) and submits it to different hosts (catbox is one of them) then replies to poal with a pic8 shortlink and the post is submitted to poal.

When you open that shortlink in the post (through the expando or in a new tab), pic8 redirects you to the fastest host available (at the time of the request). It can happen that a host randomly decides to change the behavior when uploading an image to their website.

Please post the direct link (not the pic8 short link) to the image that has been altered and @picman will take a look at it.

I DID NOT NOTICE.

I WAS WRONG, I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THAT COOL SAFETY FEATURE for post submissions.

I will just uncheck in future for artwork pictures.

THANKS!!!

Please note that many hosts don't strip exif data off the images you'll submit and that could end up being a serious breach of privacy as pictures can contain precise gps/location coordinates and other data.
