I have a gen 3 beetle with 200k miles on it. Maybe Im lucky, I haven't had to fix anything other than normal wear items. Well except for that time a very smart individual tried to steal it and destroyed the lock (+2 panels) with a crowbar Instead of just smashing the window. Honestly its the best car I've ever owned.
