What is the best japanse brand in your opinion? Ive been a ford or chevy guy since I started driving 22 years ago. I've about had it with their junk and they are getting to be a real bitch to work on for simple basic repairs. A fucking headlight or battery repair usually takes me over an hour because half the battle is just getting all the shit out of the way to get to them while also pretending you have hands the size of a 2 yr old.

I have a gen 3 beetle with 200k miles on it. Maybe Im lucky, I haven't had to fix anything other than normal wear items. Well except for that time a very smart individual tried to steal it and destroyed the lock (+2 panels) with a crowbar Instead of just smashing the window. Honestly its the best car I've ever owned.

There are 8 bolts holding on the plastic cover that covers the motor of my car. It serves no purpose other than to make it difficult to work on.
