A cool experiment showing transpiration.

On top of adding 20 odd drops of food colouring to the water, you can also add saccharides or other simple sugars to increase the longevity of the flower in the vase.

Alternatively use hydrangeas and change them from pink to blue by adjusting potential hydrogen (pH) lower with acids like cooking vinegar or copper coins in a vase.

An interesting application of science to get children captivated in the natural world.

u/ThisIsMyRealName, nice apolitical post for a change on poal.co

Thank you! I'm trying to ween myself off politics and get back to my roots (no pun intended). I miss the early days of Voat back before everyone was so pissed off.

A none political post on poal?

something that cant be subverted?

Are you kidding!? He's talking sbout science. Jews subvert science like they change money.

are you kidding!? OP's talking about a beautiful flower not science. dispite her use of the word 'science'

you changed the subject to fit your narrative which i agree jews subvert scientific findings often. but nevertheless, you rose to the challenge.

The Jews can't subvert science. Science is pure. They corrupt science by taking bullshit and calling it science. Big difference.

Showing them what happens when your burn the coal.

It's actually a pretty flower though. The lesson here isn't about niggers this time.

...but it can be!

Fair enough, I'll give you that. Can we just enjoy a flower that looks nice though? Just for a minute?

[–] 2 pts

My kids did this experiment for several science projects throughout the years.

Was the rose red or pink before?

[–] 1 pt

It was white, at least as labeled.

Very interesting. I'd love an explanation as to why the edges show so much of the dye.

[–] 1 pt

Well the flower is still alive and moving water. The dye just collects there at the end because it doesn't evaporate as the flower "breathes".

Thanks - I was wondering this as well. Nice post OP, don't mind the haters. I'd like to see more stuff like this to balance out the jew-naming & such.

It's an empress, I've missed ya mate.

A rare beacon of hope in a world full of vapid whores.

You alone have raised my standards and have contributed more to my self-imppvement than anyone else. Thank you for that.
