Once I was on the coast in that area and took a hike down to the shoreline in a secluded spot. There were a few giant Redwood logs in the surf. Big fuckers, like this pic. One in particular was an entire tree about 300' long that had been ripped out of the ground and still had the roots on it. The root end was way out in the ocean. I climbed up on the trunk, which wasn't easy because a lot of the branches were intact and the trunk was way off of the ground, and made my way out to the roots and climbed up as far as I could. I was probably 50' above the water. Fucking wild. Could see fish and such down below. Stayed out there for hours.
