Having a medical condition isn't an excuse for being a landwhale. In fact, it's a reason to ensure that you are more mindful of your physical health.
I agree with /u/BurnInHelena there's a lot of conditions that are the consequences of your own actions, or maybe not being mindful enough. I'd guess that most medical problems are probably avoidable with preventative measures.
Also I am not fat but my mom raised me shoving McDonald's down my throat 24/7. I have seen shockingly obese children. I'm guessing a lot of the reason you did not end up that way is the times you lived in and the people who raised you.
