I promise you if there were similar propaganda campaigns in east asia as in the west they would be just as susceptible to it. Why? Working class wage slaves have a deeply diminished capacity for critical thinking and self-reflection. Poison introduced into the hive mind spreads like wildfire. This will never be resolved under any culture with a democracy. Most people in general, regardless of the time period or culture, are unqualified to make wise decisions.
