I understand Norwegian but that's because I'm conversational in one of the other Scandinavian languages, so I can sort of bend what I know to Norwegian.
Don't "wish" you were fluent, make it so. It's not stupidly difficult to learn, I went from 0 to where I am now in about a couple year's worth of work. I'll DM you a link to some Norwegian learning material so you can start learning.
