As a somewhat new to the obsession of Mercedes, I can agree with your assessment, and concur with your findings.
That said, the 2018 S class coupe was and is a thing of absolute perfection, despite it's several layers of abstraction between itself and the road. It must be the AMG influence on the thing. The non AMG version is surely gay and faggy and pathetic. The kind of thing reserved only for the meanest of plebians.
