I've never liked Mercedes to be honest. They always feel cold and a step removed. They are very sturdy and well crafted, but they don't excite.

As a somewhat new to the obsession of Mercedes, I can agree with your assessment, and concur with your findings.
That said, the 2018 S class coupe was and is a thing of absolute perfection, despite it's several layers of abstraction between itself and the road. It must be the AMG influence on the thing. The non AMG version is surely gay and faggy and pathetic. The kind of thing reserved only for the meanest of plebians.

And it's sad how common neglected Mercedes are sometimes; you'd think people would take better care of nice things, but some people are gross and stupid. I see shit tons of sad horrible looking honda / acura wreckages laying around also. But I guess they still generally technically work.
