Anyway, Your analogy of computer programs is a good one. But a computer program only 'runs' what it has been programmed to do. DNA sequences can only 'express' what they have been programmed to do.
You seem to be implying, DNA of a 'higher level organism' will do things not encoded into it's sequencing ??. No science or studies show that , let alone does any researcher/ geneticists even propose that.
All scientific literature i've ever seen, actually says the opposite of that and that's impossible and it just doesnt happen in the context of DNA, the Genome/ Phenotypes/ Genotypes et al. Its the basis of scientific classification and types etc ...
