Does anyone else suspect that some of the new particles "discovered" in the past couple of decades are fictional, and have no existence in the real world? Physicists keep coming up with more and more of them. Makes me long for the days of the proton, electron and neutron. I was taught in grade school that the atom was a tiny solar system, with the protons at the center as the sun, and the electrons revolving around them as the planets. They they came up with this "electron fog" concept and it destroyed the old model of the atom, which at least had simplicity going for it. They are eventually going to realize that matter is just a state of mind.
