"quantum" anything is fake and gay
So you're saying lasers are fake and gay? If you have a DVD or Bluray-based video player, optical drive or game console, then you have a quantum powered laser device. But those are all fake and gay, right?

The quantum well laser (en.wikipedia.org) diode is what makes the DVD and Bluray players possible. They are also found in those high powered and illegal in the US 'Wicked Lasers' and other brands. Also, much of today's semiconductor technology that relies on insulated gate technology uses quantum tunneling (atomsandsporks.com) to operate. This includes flash memory devices and power transistors (MOSFETS and IGBTs). Hell, it's even likely your senses of smell (physicsworld.com) and sight (discovermagazine.com) rely on quantum effects to work. Quantum effects are everywhere and they are definitely real. What makes you think that quantum is fake?
