I never was able to go to the commonwealth and I am especially too far away to go there now. I had this vision of Northern Appalachia as consisting of rural, well-kept communities, pioneer-style homes covered in snow, and a more "colder on the outside, warmer on the inside" kind of complex soul that does not exist further south. Maybe I am completely off.

You are thinking of West Virginia or Eastern Tennessee.

Northern WV I could see. I have spent way too much time in East TN and that does not match the description.

Johnson city and Boone NC are just east of Tenn…that’s where I’m talking about. Just a little west into Tenn you still get that terrain.

The scenery is there but the vibe is not. East TN and Western NC are filled with tourists and Tennessee is especially filled with retards.

Yeah, that description doesn't really match PA, at least the parts I've been to/lived in. Certianly doesn't describe the open air cesspit that is Philadelphia.
