This isn't cancel culture. This is a person getting fired for doing something dangerous and unprofessional while on the job. Cancel culture is when something you say or do (possibly decades ago) is dug up and portrayed as being terrible. Then activists harass your employer based on their interpretation of whatever minor thing you said or did. Doing something clearly wrong while on the job is very different from voicing a personal opinion during your free time.
