Hot take: I think the reason someone finds themselves to be a faggot is a bit more complex than child abuse or genes. Just like there isn’t a single gene responsible for determining a person’s hair color, there probably isn’t a single gene that determines one’s sexuality. With that being said, regardless of if this sickness is nature or nurture, it’s your responsibility as an adult to know better and not abuse kids. Child molesters get the rope.
