I would say the most important group in the enslavement of Africans was other Africans. "African-Americans" conveniently leave that part out of the narrative, though.

In Africa and the Middle-East for sure, but in America (and the Caribbeans) the majority of slave traders/owners and plantation/ship owners were jews.

Oh hell yeah, I know that. My point is that none of them had the balls (or ability) to go into the African jungle to capture slaves. They had to rely on African slavers to do that.
