My 2 cents..... every ethical blue collar millionaire I know was spanked as a child... It taught them boundaries and gave them consequences that were severe enough that they learned the lessons they needed to learn... Nobody would say a child who burns his hand by touching a stove and learns to not touch a stove didn't learn a worthwhile lesson. That having been said.. I was spanked but never in anger... I was told this will teach you to follow the rules and if it doesn't next time I will spank you harder... Once I was told that "somewhere between this belt whipping and death you will learn to not throw snowballs at the school bus.. it all up to you" It worked. I loved my father until his last breath. The best example I can think of is that spanking taught me to be a leader and stop bullies from picking on the fat kids... I remember saying "wanna pick on someone your own size.... leave him alone" I never fought in anger but took the lead and put a few bullies in place with physical threats... just like nature... Spanking is a good tool for a responsible parent and a bad tool for a single black mom who is pissed that her kid spilled her malt liquor.

These studies are complete bullshit. Completely rigged by far left progressive who encourage garbage that children should decided for themselves. For forty years they've been lying in studies about cause and effect. Almost all of their studies simply assume any punishment is abuse and literally makes no distinction between discipline and abusive beatings.

The data is very clear prior to far lefts taking control of social sciences in the 60s and 70s, spanking is extremely beneficial and it's abusive not to. Spare the rod and spoil the child is confirmed for all human existence. Only far left progressive degenerate communists have a different take.

Yeah. Look at this list of socially awkward people who were subject to juvenile corporal punishment:

George Washington John Locke Benjamin Franklin HL Mencken Patrick Henry Thomas Jefferson Andrew Jackson Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson Robert E Lee

If only they’d had child psychologists, abuse counselors, therapists, and public schools to help foster their self esteem and get them through their troubled childhoods, they could have grown up to accomplish something.
