Totally true. I've worked in tech for a long time and have seen this too many times to count. In fact, I watched a small company get jeeted right out of existence. They started hiring jeets in about 2010 and shortly thereafter were going down hill fast. The company folded not long after. Thankfully I'd seen the light and made my jump before the fall. Every time a jeet changed something in our data stack, I had to go and fix it. Every single time.
