As to how he got the nickname I've yet to find a verifiable source on which story is true. I guess it's something that might be lost to history.
Yes, I've researched him and the nickname is a mystery, unfortunately. I've mentioned this before, but my knowledge of music pales in comparison of your's. Just how much detail you put into your "music for us" articles proves it. You've giving me a "What the hell!? I never knew that." moment several times. Lol, keep up the good work, my friend.
Thank you, it's a labor of love. Each day we get a little further away from the early days of Rock and I'm just hoping it gets remembered a little while longer. A person, or song, never really dies until the last time they're mentioned or heard.
