My other story related to this is that I was friends with family members of Bobby Vee's wife and in-laws. I got to spend some time socially with him on a few occasions. He got his start when he and his group filled in for the guys who died in the plane crash.
You've been very fortunate. What fun. I hung out with Nugent for about an hour after a show. I was drunk and since he doesn't I don't think he thought very highly of me. Oh well, his loss, I'm a great guy :).
Cool. What I wouldn't give to go hunting with Uncle Ted...........
My Grandfather went hunting with Fred Bear and has a picture with him in Bear's museum in Grayling, Michigan. I know Ted idolizes Fred and maybe has also hunted with him but maybe Fred was gone before Ted's time. Fred died in 1988.
