I too had older sisters, but it was about 68 before I really got cognizant about music. Well I was in spain from 65 to 68, military brat.

I remember that night clearly. Ed telling the kids to be quiet and quit flipping out and then...Ladies and gentlemen...The Beatles. It was like a switch was turned on in me. I had listened to the radio every night but didn't really pay much attention to music. From that night on I listened to music differently and started seeking music out. It's been a faithful friend ever since, well except when it flipped out during the '80's and got pretty shitty to be around, but even then there were moments.

I remember Ed also. And remember music a few years(not many) before because of older sisters. I remember when the beatles first came out. 80's were fun to me, 90's also. not so much since then. late 60's and early 70's were best though. But shit what do I know I still like alice cooper.

I didn't know, or even occur to me then, but one of the many rules Ed had was all musical groups had to perform live, no lip-syncing. Looking back I can see it now and it makes those performances of all the groups and artists that much better.
