Interesting story behind this song, during a studio session and between tracks, Slash was just practicing and happened upon these iconic scales we hear in the beginning of the song, Axle immediately piped up and wanted to use the riff, while Slash was embarrassed and protested. In the end Axle won, and Slash was doomed to play this out of character riff for the rest of his life.
