We've going into the third year and we aren't going anywhere. It ebbs and flows and there's always a few gems every time. I'm always amazed at the talent of these people.
I don't know half the bands or songs played, but I'm slowly getting dragged into this century. My heart is still in the 60's up to the '80's or so.
i hear ya, though my tastes can go all the way back to staticy opera and ragtime on victrolas (sp?). I have no particular favorite era, 21st century leaves me a bit chilly overall.
Music has always been an evolution with usually no distinct margins. While I recognize opera takes an immense amount of training and practice, it's just something I never have developed a taste for.
As for ragtime, here's some background and earliest example of the famous Maple Leaf Rag.
