yea, that was a fun thread the couple of times i checked it out. you & B do a good job of welcoming everyone. not a player, meself, and my tastes are dated (never thought i'd say that but it happens!)
We've going into the third year and we aren't going anywhere. It ebbs and flows and there's always a few gems every time. I'm always amazed at the talent of these people.
I don't know half the bands or songs played, but I'm slowly getting dragged into this century. My heart is still in the 60's up to the '80's or so.
i hear ya, though my tastes can go all the way back to staticy opera and ragtime on victrolas (sp?). I have no particular favorite era, 21st century leaves me a bit chilly overall.
Music has always been an evolution with usually no distinct margins. While I recognize opera takes an immense amount of training and practice, it's just something I never have developed a taste for.
