It is getting worse and women are getting crazier, I'm assuming because it seems younger men are avoiding them. I'm coming up 50, and never leave the house without my wedding ring on. If I'm alone, I will have girls in their 20s, maybe even teenagers (don't stick around to find out) walk straight up to me and just start talking to me. I immediately show my wedding ring and say "I'm married" and that only makes about 20% of them stop talking and leave me alone. The other 80% will try to say some stupid shit like "why isn't your wife with you right now" or "I bet I'm younger than she is", which is the best thing they can say because I can counter with "yeah, and you're also younger than my daughter, good bye".
Women are kind of dumb, so it might be a number of years of them being negelected/rejected before they go back to behaving like ladies instead of whores.
I've never had any female come up to me and start trying to chat me up. I don't know if I should be happy or angry.
When I'm in public, people tend to just be ghosts in the air, so maybe I'm just good at ignoring them.
The absolute weirdest one was when I was in my early 20s. I left my apartment and was on my way to work. A Russian chick comes up to me says "Hi my name is Melody" and put out her hand to shake. I just shake it and say "nice to meet you" and start walking off so I can get to work. She runs back in front of me and says "wait, I want to talk to you". I have never seen this woman in my life, I need to get to work so just say "I have to go, I am going to be late for work" and start walking off again. She runs back in front of me and says "I want to kiss you".
That freaked me out because the night before I watched a TV show about how spies had assassinated people and one of the methods was poison lipstick over was sealant to protect the woman, but kill the man who got kissed. I have never been to Russia nor had any bad dealings with any Russians, so that was most likely not the case, but still left me thinking wtf. I said "sorry, I have to go" and she yells out "I want to make love to you". I didn't even look back and just kept walking away.
That's...freaky.

The older ones are hitting the wall hard, because nobody wants them, but younger guys (more and more) aren't even approaching women anymore, and women are bitching about that. So now more and more women are going out hunting for men. Avoid going to Home Depot Saturday morning because there are usually a bunch of them there. They'll just come up to you and start to talk to you, asking if you know where something is in the store. If you tell them to pull out their phone, open up Home Depots.web site, put in this location and type in the item, it will tell you exactly in the store where the item is.
That SHOULD be the end of the conversation, but they're not really there to find an item, they're there to find a man. They don't like it when they talk to you and get brushed off, so it makes them try even harder. Then they'll start asking you about how to something like paint or put up a shelf. Don't get sucked into telling them shit because they are just trying to get you to spend time on them, and see how much handiwork you know how to do, which is something they want. Just say "I don't know, you'll have to ask an employee". That will get rid of most of them right there, but some are REALLY persistent and will keep trying to talk to you because their biological clocks are ticking and they're about to hit the wall.
