Connecting the dots here.

  1. the u.s. gov talking about how "disinformation is deadly."

  2. the cyberpolygon rumors

  3. the u.s. going to war and thus needing total information control

  4. how the internet, dissidents, and citizen journalists keep disrupting and discrediting their narratives

  5. the push to ban and criminalize "hatespeech" as a form of terrorism, or treat it with the same tools

  6. the J6 round-up and raids normalizing all-but-disappearing political opponents, without trial, for months, or more, often in solitatary, where many were either starved our out-right tortured by politically radicalized foreign-born prison guards.

  7. the lists the government keeps getting caught making, be it using no-fly for gun owners, the CDC keeping lists of vaccine skeptical doctors, the left working with intelligence agencies to track down any one who participated in J6, or even showed up (not even entered), the ATF and FBI keeping illegal in-house ad-hoc firearm registries, etc

  8. the increasingly non-political calls for extra-judicial punishments of dissidents, protesters, and political opponents, by thugs masked and clad in black, anonymous doxxers, open threats and menacing or even attacks in broad daylight, all treated with kid-gloves by a tacitly supportive federal government and its agencies.

  9. increasingly dehumanizing language, and increasingly violent and extreme rhetoric calling for increasingly extreme measures against anyone who so much as fails to show enthusiastic support for the regime's newest policies or actions or directions.

  10. the recent attacks, where the killers writings are too on-the-nose, with too-convenient timing to the "disinformation is a deadly pandemic!" narrative. Where things that might be classified as reasonable debate and humor (memes, cartoon characters like pepe, comic strips, statistics), are now converted into red-flags and equivalent to "sympathizing with, advocating, supporting, or making arguments adjacent to support of terrorism/racism/some other ism", even middle of the road opinions that people on the other side, and even some minorities support, like "we're not compatible", and "whites and blacks should have the right to free association."

all of these say to me that there is a clear direction to this push. That the state is planning for dissident roundups/purges. and that it will start with twitter, sites like youtube, even gab and poal. Yes, really.

These things and dozens of indicators I have left out for sake of brevity, reveal the clear shape of a new narrative and policy thrust. anyone who doesn't support the regime will either be a "russian spy", "brainwashed by russian propaganda", a white supremacist, or some other boogieman -ism to justify gulaging them into some secret police detention center where they might get a trial in one, two, or even three years, and will be refused their own lawyer, and forced to take some court-appointed lawyer whos job will be, like they did to the J6, convict their defendant.

In fact I suspect these events are coming soon, including to poal. You will know it when you start to see users disappearing without a word, people who post regularly and didn't give any indication they were leaving.

What is coming is soviet-style show-trials.

They will come for Christians and anyone else against abortion. Can't lose their sacrificial bread and blood. These are evil demons that thrive on chaos and death. Also any parents pushing back the tranny crap. Those opinions are in their view terroristic.

Also any parents pushing back the tranny crap.

The regime already started doing that.

Possible. If they are able to so thoroughly abuse the rights of those that participated in Jan 6, they can point a finger at anyone, grab them off the street, and they might not see the light of day for years. Based on an accusation alone.

Pretty much. The question and reasoning boils down to can they do it? , and does it jib with the general direction (doubling down) of the faction in power?

The answer to both, is yes .

And we will do nothing about it I suspect.

[–] 1 pt 2y

Fuck you I won't. Here's the thing, once the push back starts it will grow larger with every round up or blockade or check point. These fuckers have no clue what's going to happen when the people who wanted to be left along get involved.

They will need a revolution to hide a total power grab behind.

They may well use dupes to start a war against them that they will have ensured will be defeated.

A false flag to end all false flags.

I don't know, seems like unnecessary risk for an uncertain outcome when the slow path has worked so effectively up to this point. But if we're in another destabilization phase, I could see it. The "insurgency" model of low-level simmering conflict is how I see the regime creating the narrative it wants.

Thats all hyperbole and conjecture though.

It's a path.

We know where we are. We know what they have to get is to. Total authoritarian rule

There is only so many ways to get from a to b and civil war is number one

See history of other totalitarian takeovers

There is only so many ways to get from a to b and civil war is number one

So how do we stop it?
