This is the same reason conservatism conserves nothing.

There were arguments recently that those of us who are anti-mandate should instead call ourselves "pro choice."

This will inevitably lose in the short or long run, because it lets the alternative continue to exist. And so long as it exists the regime can always switch to the long-game of taking-inches at a time--the game of creeping tyranny, especially in the face of short-term pushback.

Pro-choice isn't it.

I suggest:

Pro-autonomy Pro-sovereignty Pro-rights Pro-liberty

etc.

Yup. The latter two seem like they could be lumped with pro-choice

But would people truly accept that? Pro-sovereignty would also mean no more Roe vs. Wade discussion. They cant have it both ways, but some people seem to think that's how it works.
