Thats because gas will have to start to increase in price again. Which means they'll either need an excuse for *why* or a *distraction*. A two-week distraction i.e. the news cycle (which is down to more like 4-5 days) won't have any staying power with the current national sentiment in America, let alone the west. So it will be some event used as a big excuse for the jump at the pumps. Maybe "black friday + thanksgiving". They'll also blame a resurgence in covid, is my guess, "causing a shortage of truckers and pipeline workers." etc. Expect prices to go to about $3.40-$3.60 a gallon for gas, and diesel, well you don't even have to imagine, its already here.
