Guzzling vodka is a hole that is nearly impossible to climb out of. I nearly lost my mom to it. She has to choose to quit, usually takes hitting some kind of bottom first.

Lord have mercy. Not sure what it's going to take, she's pretty close to bottom but her mother keeps rescuing her, fearful she'll kill herself one way or another.
