I like the way it's put, early on in the big book: We are people who've lost the ability to control and enjoy our drinking. Meaning: If I'm controlling it, I'm not enjoying it, and if I'm enjoying it, I'm not controlling it.

If you can have 4 and stop, good for you. If I did that, I'd be pissed off for the rest of the night because wanted more.

I had a few at the pub yesterday. Haven't drank since Saturday. Pretty much 4 and a shot. Not bad
